I've been trying to sell it but no luck. In the mean time why don't we put my motor in your car and let me drive and see how fast we can really get your car to go. And oh yea you can keep the winnings. Tongue

I told him the box and he told me AL as well.

It was what I thought and what you just said regarding the timing.

If you get the other shocks and move the 4 link around a bit you should be able to get the car to go down the track.  If you could get the other ignition box that would be even better yet.

I think time for a new ride. The cost would be cheaper. Good motor bad car.

New car cheaper than shocks, tires or suspension changes ??????????

Have you been drinking ?         Grin     LOL

Haven't been on here for awhile so I'll see if I can give you some suggestions.
First , spend $80.00 and get Jerry Bickel's Chassis Book. It will help you understand an awful lot about suspensions.
2. Every car is a little to alot different. No one set-up is good for all cars, seems like each car needs a little tweaked here and there from time to time.
3. Definitely get some Strange /Koni DA rear shocks. Set the rebound at 7 off from soft and the compression at 5 off from soft and work down. Using a reasonably priced JVC Hard Drive camcorder helps quite abit at the track.
4 May have to increase your IC out beyond 52+ inches for that short wheelbase.
5.Front shocks may have to be tightened up if too much lift on the front ,keeping the wheelie bars planted for too long. Guru's tell me 6 feet is a lot of time on the wheelie bars.
8 lbs of air may be adequate depending on tire construction --ie: Stiff sidewall vs.a hi-growth tire.
Corner weights -may try to get them more even on the back. Remove a couple pounds of air in the front tire ,either right or left to get them even.

Yes , we have had it before too. New tires at 8 to 8.5 lbs helps. But as I say each car has to have it's own sweetspot. We spent a lot of $$$ to have all the Shocks updated just to begin with.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem briefly. Too much air in the rear tires when new. 6.5-7lbs had me shaking all over the place! 5-5.5 no more shake with new tires. Older tires take a little more air. Try it, you'll like it! Cool
